UK Infrastructure bank
In November 2020 the UK government announced its plan to launch a UK infrastructure bank dedicated to green infrastructure projects. With the bank's core mission being to "finance a green industrial revolution and drive growth across the country"
Launched in June 2021. The bank stands as a dedication by the UK to meet its 2050 Net Zero climate goals whilst levelling up the UK economy.
Then Chancellor, The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak felt that the identity needed to reflect these core values.
Ancient & Modern
The narrative of the UK's most ancient infrastructure project playing its part in the identity of an institution dedicated to the creation of its most modern. Was one that I found great inspiration and muse in.
As Stonehenge was carved from ancient stones, so too would the banks identity, carving it's initials from one of the famous neolithic stones.
Identity
Prepared alongside the visual identity was a full brand package. This included examples and suggestions for typography, palette, imagery. The brands primary palette features the two greens used in the banks logo. The greens helping to visual represent the banks dedication to net zero.
Delivery
Delivered alongside the full brand proposal and guidelines was a selection of print products for the banks launch day including stickers, leaflets, vinyl graphics, display boards and banners.
Web development had progressed alongside the brand development and launch day also included the formal launch of the UK Infrastructure Bank website which you can view here.
Whilst rebranded by the Labour government in 2024. The design, UI and UX approach to the site have remained the same.
